About Me
In case you wanted to know literally anything about me.
- I was born in 2006 and got on the internet at a young age. Old enough to remember the classic YouTube editing of tutorials using a notepad to write down the instructions.
- Sometimes pessimistic, sometimes optimistic.
- I like the general asthetic of the 2000s (preferebly the late-2000s), since I personally think stuff back then just looked way nicer than the minimalist crap we have now. (seriously please put some style to your software and logos i dont like flat designs)
- I own and use a somewhat low-end computer. 8GB of RAM, a crappy Intel CPU and no graphics card (except for the integrated one), but I don’t care ’cause it still serves me well.
- I mostly play older games (read previous bullet point). In particular I LOVE Touhou and Left 4 Dead 2, though I do have some other games that I’ve been playing through recently like Killing Floor and Typing Of The Dead.
- I am a hateful little goblin that dislikes a lot of big companies and their obsession with screwing over people and spying on them as much as possible for money.
- i use arch btw. Although I’ve been wanting to switch over to a GNU/Linux system for quite a couple of years now, I’ve only switched recently thanks to Microsoft dropping support for Windows 10, and also finding a spare SSD that I can use to install a Linux distro while keeping my Windows install safe. I picked Arch as my first distro since I wanted to learn about Linux and how it works, and starting from almost nothing seemed like a good start, plus the fact that it’s a minimalist distro that I can tweak and customize however I want is a really appeling feature. And hey, if it turned out that I didn’t like using Arch, then I can just switch to another distro. Happy to report it’s turned out well!
- I don’t use a lot of social media. Even as a kid, I just never found them interesting, so the only ones I use are YouTube, Reddit to keep track of some subreddits I’m interested in or to find some info really quickly, and like one Twitter account.
- I like using LLMs as tools, but really despise how they are being treated. I hate how they’re being used to spit out crappy articles and essays, I hate how people let the chatbots do everything including important tasks, I hate vibe-coders, I hate people that think using Coding Agents to spit out boilerplate code is borderline sinful and makes you a vibe-coder, I hate how much it’s being shoved down my throat, I hate how Google values websites written with Gemini more than humans [Source 1] [Source 2]. Hate hate hate. Maybe I’ll get around to making a little article talking about it more in depth…
- I've recently been trying to learn a bit about drawing with vectors, as well as coding, though I'm still a beginner at either. For vector drawings I use Inkscape and mostly praticed by making some anime eyes. As for coding, I've been trying to learn Python, since it's easier to learn and it's code doesn't need to be compiled, so it's a good stepping stone to learn about programming before moving on to other languages. I've also been using a chatbot as a way to look up documentation pretty easily, like asking what does a certain error message mean, what can I use to make a loop, ask why does putting X inside of Y give me Z result, etc.
- The inspiration behind the name “Kayce Loves Maids” is something called Maidcore Music, which is a little subculture of artists that have “The Maid” attached to end of their name and make either rock, metal, electronic music, or a combination of all of them. I was initially thinking about the name “Kayce The Maid”, but decided against it since I’m not a music artist, and I don’t want to be confused with one, so I settled for my current one. Also, my favorite maid is Chikoi The Maid.
